Summary Reel
Asking me to name my favorite episode of Season One is like asking me which is my favorite child. There just isn’t an answer to that question. But I wanted to micro-cap our year and tell you what Growing a Greener World, the series, means to me.
We had the great fortune to visit 36 cities in 18 states over 8 months to tell the stories of people, places and organizations that are doing great things for the planet but still rooted in gardening. Gardening and caring for the earth has been my passion for as long as I seem to remember. This series is the culmination of many years of sharing that passion with anyone who was willing to listen. From speaking tours, to articles, to books, to our website and on television I have sought to spread the word and teach others about what it means to live a sustainable lifestyle.
For me, the delight is seeking out, finding and sharing kindred spirits in my pursuit of inspirational heroes such as those we have presented this season with the hope their passion is as contagious for you as it is for me. And the wonderful thing is…there are so many more stories to tell!

Nice wrap to season 1 of a great enterprise. Looking forward to where you take us next year. Glad to hear the world is listening.
Why thank you. I knew this was something I wanted to do. Just needed to get through the season to remember where all we had been. It was a pretty incredible ride and very much looking forward to more.
Patti, Joe and Nathan,
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy the show, well I can but you’ve no doubt already heard the same from hundreds of other people. I’m an avid gardener and I too have a thing for compost.
Presently I watch episodes over the web as the local PBS station doesn’t carry the show. My personal favorite episode was Growing Power. That Will Allen is is my hero. The Greensgrow Farm show was also inspiring. Mary Seton Corboy has done fabulous things with land written off.
Congratulations to you all for a job really well done. Writing and camera work was also fantastic. The entire, behind the camera team, should get a raise for season two.
Regards,
Danny
Thank you so much Danny for you very kind comments. I am happy to say, we have heard from a few folks throughout the season that have shared words of praise. But, we love being reminded that our hard work is being noticed and we will never tire of that. So thank you very much for your sincere words. And I really appreicate knowing which episodes are favorites of our viewers and I agree with you. Will Allen was a great story and the Greensgrow Farm episode was our very first show. It was the one we submitted as the pilot before we knew we were really going to even have a series.
Just between us, I’m going to keep this post private because as soon as my crew sees this, they’ll be coming to me for that raise you suggested! LOL, I agree, they all deserve it.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!
Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, the spiced applesauce was a really big hit. Really big!!
Thank you Nathan.
I would truly like to thank you for having the passion to bring us all your wonderful content. I look forward to watching your next episode reminding me of all the great things around me. I appreciate all that I have learned and enjoy sharing a laugh with your on (and off) screen humour.
Thanks a lot Scott. I’m really glad you enjoy the content and appreciate the humor. Life’s so short. We all need to take time to laugh a bit more! If I can offer that along with good content, even better! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts here.
